Moody's rates Itau Unibanco debt Baa2

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned a Baa2 foreign currency debt rating to the proposed subordinated debt issuance by Itau Unibanco Holding SA, acting through its Grand Cayman Branch, due 2023.

The outlook is positive.

Moody's said that subordination of the new note issuance is considered by applying a one-notch differential from Itau Unibanco's Baa1 global local currency issuer rating, with a positive outlook, as per Moody's notching convention.
