iShares announces launch of five new BlackRock-sponsored iShares ETFs

San Diego, Jan. 30 - iShares, Inc. launched five new exchange-traded funds sponsored by BlackRock, Inc., according to N-1A filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The iShares MSCI Global Agriculture Producers Fund seeks investment results that correspond generally to the price and yield performance, before fees and expenses, of the MSCI ACWI Select Agriculture Producers Investable Market index, which measures the combined performance of equity securities of companies primarily engaged in the business of agriculture in both developed and emerging markets. The fund will trade on the NYSE Arca under the symbol "VEGI."

The iShares MSCI Global Energy Producers Fund seeks investment results that correspond generally to the price and yield performance, before fees and expenses, of the MSCI ACWI Select Energy Producers Investable Market index, which measures the combined performance of equity securities of companies primarily engaged in the business of energy exploration and production in both developed and emerging markets. The fund will trade on the NYSE Arca under the symbol "FILL."

The iShares MSCI Global Gold Miners Fund seeks investment results that correspond generally to the price and yield performance, before fees and expenses, of the MSCI ACWI Select Gold Miners Investable Market index, which measures the combined performance of equity securities of companies primarily engaged in the business of gold mining in both developed and emerging markets. The fund will trade on the NYSE Arca under the symbol "RING."

The iShares MSCI Global Select Metals and Mining Producers Fund seeks investment results that correspond generally to the price and yield performance, before fees and expenses, of the MSCI ACWI Select Metals and Mining Producers Ex Gold and Silver Investable Market index, which measures the combined performance of equity securities of companies primarily engaged in the extraction and production of diversified metals, aluminum, steel, precious minerals and precious metals, excluding gold and silver, in both developed and emerging markets. The fund will trade on the NYSE Arca under the symbol "PICK."

The iShares MSCI Global Silver Miners Fund seeks investment results that correspond generally to the price and yield performance, before fees and expenses, of the MSCI ACWI Select Silver Miners Investable Market index, which measures the combined performance of equity securities of companies primarily engaged in the business of silver mining in both developed and emerging markets. The fund will trade on the NYSE Arca under the symbol "SLVP."

Under normal conditions, each fund will invest at least 80% of its assets in securities of its underlying index or in depositary receipts representing those securities and at least 40% of its assets in issuers organized, located or doing business outside of the United States.

The portfolio managers for all five funds will be Rene Casis, Diane Hsiung and Greg Savage.

San Francisco-based BlackRock Fund Advisors, the funds' investment adviser, has contractually agreed to pay until Dec. 31, 2014 all operating expenses of the funds except for interest expenses, taxes, brokerage expenses, future distribution fees or expenses and extraordinary expenses. Taking into account the fee waiver agreement, the expected total annual operating expenses for all of the funds is 0.39%.
