iShares launches iShares Emerging Markets Corporate Bond Fund

By Toni Weeks

San Diego, April 13 - iShares Trust announced in an N-1A filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission that it has launched a new BlackRock, Inc.-sponsored fund, the iShares Emerging Markets Corporate Bond Fund.

The fund trades on the Bats under the symbol "CEMB."

The fund seeks investment results that correspond generally to the price and yield performance, before fees and expenses, of the Morningstar Emerging Markets Corporate Bond Index, which measures the performance of the dollar-denominated emerging market corporate bond market.

The fund generally invests at least 80% of its assets in securities of the underlying index and in depositary receipts representing securities of the underlying index. The fund may also invest up to 20% of its assets in futures, options and swap contracts, cash and cash equivalents and bonds not included in the index.

James Mauro and Scott Radell are the portfolio managers.

Total annual operating expenses are 0.6%, which consists solely of a 0.6% management fee. There are no shareholder fees.

San Francisco-based BlackRock Fund Advisors serves as the investment adviser.
