American States Water files $156.45 million shelf registration

Des Moines, Aug. 16 - American States Water Co. filed a $156,452,625 shelf registration in an S-3 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The filing covers debt securities, preferred shares, depositary shares and common shares. The securities may be structured as convertibles.

The registration includes $6,452,625 previously registered but unsold securities.

Proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes.

San Dimas, Calif.-based American States Water is a holding company for regulated utilities providing water, wastewater and energy services.
