Chicago, June 21 - Ireland Inc. raised $2.77 million in the first tranche of a private placement of units, according to an 8-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The company issued a total of 4.266 million units for $0.65 each June 20.
Units consist of one share and one half-share warrant. Each whole warrant is exercisable at $1.00 per share for one year.
On April 25, Ireland priced the units for two private placements totaling $13 million.
S & P Investors, Inc. is the placement agent.
Ireland is a mineral exploration company based in Blaine, Wash.
