American Shipping to make interest payment as payment-in-kind

Kansas City, Kan., Nov. 9 - American Shipping Co. ASA, formerly Aker American Shipping ASA, announced that it would make the Feb. 28, 2013 interest payment on its senior unsecured callable PIK bonds in kind.

Norsk Tillitsmann is the loan trustee.

The issuer is a shipping company based in Oslo.
