S&P assigns B- to Iraq bonds

Standard & Poor's said it assigned its B- issue rating to the senior unsecured bond to be issued by the Republic of Iraq (B-/stable/B).

The amount and interest rate, among other details of the bond, will be determined during the placement.

Proceeds will be used for budgetary purposes.
