iPCS to pay Aug. 1 interest on notes in-kind

Chicago, March 3 - iPCS, Inc. elected to pay the Aug. 1 interest payment on its second-lien pay-in-kind notes by increasing the principal amount of the notes, according to a 10-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The company said it has made no other decisions regarding the future use of PIK interest.

Based in Schaumburg, Ill., iPCS owns and operates Sprint Nextel's nationwide PCS network.
