Life Technologies 2% convertible senior notes convertible to Dec. 31

By Marisa Wong

Milwaukee, Nov. 10 - Life Technologies Corp. gave notice on Nov. 9 that holders of its 2% convertible senior notes due 2023 may elect to convert their notes until Dec. 31, according to an 8-K filed Tuesday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes are convertible because Life's common stock traded above the minimum price specified in the indentures during the quarter ended Sept. 30.

Life Technologies is a Carlsbad, Calif.-based biotechnology tools company formerly known as Invitrogen Corp.
