American Rock Salt $100 million 10-year notes price talk 91/2-9 5/8%, to price Friday

St. Louis, March 3 - Price talk of 9½% to 9 5/8% emerged Wednesday on American Rock Salt Co. LLC's proposed $100 million offering of 10-year senior secured notes (B3/B-), a market source said.

The deal is expected to price on Friday.

Jefferies & Co. is running the books on the Rule 144A issue.

The notes come with five years of call protection.

Proceeds will be used to repay debt.

The company is a Mount Morris, N.Y., highway de-icing rock salt miner.
