New Issue: Intraop to raise $3.01 million in private placement of shares

Knoxville, Tenn., Feb. 5 - Intraop Medical Corp. will raise up to $3.01 million in a private placement of stock, according to an 8-K filed Tuesday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

In the first closing, which settled Jan. 31, the company sold 33,832,463 shares at about $0.07 apiece for $2.37 million. It may sell up to 9,167,537 more shares at that price, for a total of 43 million shares.

Sunnyvale, Calif.-based Intraop specializes in the development, manufacturing, marketing and servicing of the Mobetron, a mobile electron beam system designed for intraoperative radiotherapy treatment of cancer, coronary vascular restenosis and other medical applications.
