Interstate Bakeries operating loss improves to $11.35 million in four weeks ended July 26

Pittsburgh, Sept. 9 - Interstate Bakeries Corp. reported an $11.35 million operating loss for the four weeks ended July 26 on $218.88 million in revenues, according to its monthly operating report filed Tuesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Missouri.
The figures compared to a $12.28 million operating loss posted for the four weeks ended June 28 on $222.18 million in revenues.
The net loss for the latest period was $11.32 million, narrowing from a $12.26 million net loss for the previous period.
At July 26, Interstate had $20.98 million in cash, up from $20.10 million at June 28.
The Kansas City, Mo., bakery operator filed for bankruptcy on Sept. 22, 2004. Its Chapter 11 case number is 04-45814.
