Interstate Bakeries posts $15.53 million operating loss for four weeks ended April 5

Pittsburgh, May 21 - Interstate Bakeries Corp. reported a $15.53 million operating loss for the four weeks ended April 5 on $210.18 million in revenues, according to its monthly operating report filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The figures showed a decline from an $11.31 million operating loss for the four weeks ended March 8 on $211.57 million in revenues.
The net loss for the latest period was $15.4 million, widening from a $12.28 million net loss reported in the previous period.
At April 5, Interstate had $21.98 million in cash, compared with $22.95 million at March 8.
The Kansas City, Mo., bakery operator filed for bankruptcy on Sept. 22, 2004 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Missouri. Its Chapter 11 case number is 04-45814.
