Interstate Bakeries granted court approval of $850,000 property sale

Portland, Ore., July 19 - Interstate Bakeries Corp. was granted court approval to sell several lots in Worcester, Mass., to Six Academy, LLC for $850,000, according to a Thursday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Missouri.

Six Academy was the stalking horse bidder, and Interstate Bakeries did not receive any higher bids, according to the order.

Six Academy previously made a deposit of $85,000.

The Kansas City, Mo., bakery operator filed for bankruptcy on Sept. 22, 2004 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Missouri. Its Chapter 11 case number is 04-45814.
