American Real Estate Partners to price $300 million notes next week

St. Louis, Jan. 24 - American Real Estate Partners LP expects to price $300 million of eight-year senior notes (Ba2/BB) during the week of Jan. 31, according to market sources.

Bear Stearns & Co. is the bookrunner for the Rule 144A notes.

Proceeds will be used to acquire additional oil and gas and gaming and entertainment assets in transactions with affiliates of Carl Icahn, chairman of the board of the general partner.

American Real Estate is a Mount Kisco, N.Y., real estate master limited partnership.
