Moody's may up International Game

Moody's Investors Service said it placed the ratings of International Game Technology on review for possible upgrade, including the company's Baa3 senior unsecured bonds and debentures.

Moody's said the review is prompted by the company's improved debt protection measures resulting from debt repayment and higher earnings and cash flow, as well as a favorable demand outlook for the company's gaming products.

Moody's review will focus on the sustainability of future demand drivers, such as proliferation of gaming within existing and new jurisdictions, demand for class II gaming machines, the company's acquisition appetite and its commitment to maintaining its improved financial profile in the context of its strategic and financial policy objectives.
