International Coal Group intends to price $200 million eight-year secured notes March 8 week

St. Louis, March 8 - International Coal Group, Inc. plans to price a $200 million offering of eight-year senior secured second-priority notes before the end of the week, according to an informed source.
Morgan Stanley & Co. Inc. and UBS Investment Bank have the books for the notes, which have been registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The notes come with four years of call protection.
Credit ratings remain to be determined.
Proceeds will be used to fund the purchase of the company's existing senior notes and for general corporate purposes.
The prospective issuer is a Scott Depot, W.Va.-based producer of coal.
