International Coal shareholder Watsa acquires 4.09 million shares

Charlotte, N.C., Dec. 9 - V. Prem Watsa, 1109519 Ontario Ltd. and their affiliates reported the purchase of an additional 4.09 million shares of International Coal Group, Inc. in an amended schedule 13D filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Watsa reported the purchase of 4,994,400 shares of International Coal in a prior SEC filing.

The investors beneficially own approximately 30.13 million shares, or 19%, of the Scott Depot, W.Va., coal producer.
