World Bank buys back Rs. 70 million 4.8% notes payable in dollars

Tacoma, Wash., Nov. 4 – International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, or World Bank, repurchased Rs. 70 million of its Rs. 1.6 billion 4.8% notes payable in dollars due Jan. 23, 2025, according to an announcement.

The notes will be retired Nov. 6.

World Bank offers loans to developing countries and is based in Washington, D.C.
