Intermet $175 million seven-year notes talked at 9¾% area, pricing Monday morning

St. Louis, Mo., June 6 - Price talk of 9¾% area emerged Thursday on Intermet Corp.'s upcoming offering of $175 million senior notes due 2009 (B2/B+), according to a syndicate source. The deal is expected to price Monday morning.

Deutsche Bank Securities Inc. and Banc of America Securities are joint bookrunners. Scotia Capital, Suntrust Robinson Humphries, Banc One Capital Markets, Comerica Investments and ABN Amro are co-managers.

The Rule 144A notes are non-callable for four years.

Proceeds will be used to repay bank debt.

The issuer is a Troy, Mich. manufacturer of structural components for automotive industry.
