Intermet unsecured creditors committee appointed

Pittsburgh, Aug. 19 - Intermet Corp.'s official committee of unsecured creditors was appointed Tuesday by the acting Region 3 U.S. Trustee, according to a filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

The committee members include Don Woessner of Spectro Alloys Corp., Rosemont, Minn.; Lee Foecking of Behr Iron & Steel, Inc., Rockford, Ill.; David R. Jury of the United Steelworkers, Pittsburgh; Marlene Eckman Sloat of Omni Source Corp., Ft. Wayne, Ind.; and Thomas R. Torp of Industrial Supply Corp., Windsor, Conn.

Intermet, a Fort Worth, Texas-based automotive cast component supplier, filed for bankruptcy on Aug. 12. Its Chapter 11 case number is 08-11859.
