S&P: KazTransGas unchanged

Standard & Poor's said its ratings and outlook on KazTransGas (BB/positive) and 100% subsidiary JSC Intergas Central Asia (BB/positive), remain unaffected following the approval of a consortium, including KazTransGas and Swiss BMG Group (not rated) as strategic investor for the rehabilitation of two power plants and a coal mine ultimately owned by Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The project is likely to be implemented by a joint venture owned by the consortium and the Bosnian state-controlled utilities with the power plants and mine being contributed to the joint venture, the agency said.

KazTransGas's equity investment is currently uncertain and no binding commitments have been made, the agency added.
