Interfaith Medical reports $5.4 million April loss from operations

Pittsburgh, May 20 - Interfaith Medical Center, Inc. posted a $5.4 million loss from operations for April on total revenue of $12.1 million, according to its monthly operating report filed May 20 with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of New York.

The figures showed a decline from the $2.77 million in income from operations reported for March on total revenue of $19.78 million.

The medical center also reported cash and cash equivalents of $3.18 million as of April 30, down from $5.45 million at the end of March.

Interfaith, a Brooklyn, N.Y., multi-site health-care system operator, filed for bankruptcy on Dec. 2, 2012. Its Chapter 11 case number is 12-48226.
