By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, March 12 - Interfaith Medical Center, Inc. said a hearing originally scheduled for March 13 on approval of its term sheet with the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York has been rescheduled for March 25, according to a Tuesday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of New York.

In addition, Interfaith requested an extension of its exclusive periods for filing and soliciting votes on a plan of reorganization.

The medical center wants to extend its exclusive filing period through June 2 from March 31 and the solicitation period through Aug. 2 from June 2.

A hearing on the extension request is also scheduled for March 25.

Interfaith, a Brooklyn, N.Y., multi-site health-care system operator, filed for bankruptcy on Dec. 2, 2012. Its Chapter 11 case number is 12-48226.
