Interfaith Medical Center posts $656,300 January loss from operations

Pittsburgh, Feb. 24 - Interfaith Medical Center, Inc. posted a $656,300 loss from operations for January on total revenue of $16.6 million, according to its monthly operating report filed Monday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of New York.

Those figures showed improvement over a $4.85 million loss from operations reported for December on total revenue of $11.53 million.

In addition, the medical center reported cash and cash equivalents of $6.06 million as of Jan. 31, up from $3.18 million at the end of December.

Interfaith, a Brooklyn, N.Y., multi-site health-care system operator, filed for bankruptcy on Dec. 2, 2012. Its Chapter 11 case number is 12-48226.
