Interfaith Medical Center, groups ordered to mediation over closure plan

Charlotte, N.C., Nov. 13 - Interfaith Medical Center, Inc., its official committee of unsecured creditors, the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York, N.Y. State Dept. of Health, 1199SEIU United Healthcare Workers East, ad hoc group of doctors, IM Foundation, and the N.Y. State Nurses Association were referred to Judge Elizabeth S. Stong for mediation of issues relating to the debtor's proposed closure plan, the proposed plan filed by the IM Foundation and any related matters that Judge Stong may consider appropriate for inclusion in the mediation.

Mediation was ordered under E.D.N.Y. LBR 9019-1, according to documents filed with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of New York.

Interfaith, a Brooklyn, N.Y., multi-site health-care system operator, filed for bankruptcy on Dec. 2, 2012. Its Chapter 11 case number is 12-48226.
