S&P gives Intercorp BBB-

S&P said it assigned its BBB- long-term and A-3 short-term issuer credit ratings on Intercorp Financial Services Inc.

The outlook is stable.

S&P said the analysis reflects Intercorp Financial Services’ status as a non-operating holding company of Intercorp Peru Ltd.'s (BBB-/stable/--) financial services businesses in Peru.

The agency said the ratings are one notch below the group credit profile due to the holding company's dependence on the subsidiaries' dividend upstream to service debt.
