Fitch rates Intercorp Peru notes BBB-

Fitch Ratings said it assigned a foreign-currency issuer default rating of BBB- to Intercorp Peru Ltd., along with a local-currency issuer default rating of BBB- and a BBB- on its proposed senior unsecured notes.

The outlook is stable.

The proceeds from the proposed issuance will be used to refinance existing debt, Fitch said.

The ratings reflect the company’s diversified portfolio of operations, solid and leading market position in most of the industries in which it participates and positive medium-term outlook growth, the agency said.

The ratings also consider a view that the company’s expected dividend flow structure should continue being driven by its financial services business during the next few years, Fitch said.
