IntercontinentalExchange files automatic shelf covering debt, stock

Tacoma, Wash., May 5 - IntercontinentalExchange, Inc. registered to sell common stock, senior debt securities and subordinated debt securities in an S-3-ASR filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Wednesday.

The debt securities may convertible or exchangeable into the company's common stock or other securities.

Proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes.

Atlanta-based IntercontinentalExchange operates regulated exchanges, trading platforms and clearing houses.
