Fitch assigns Intel notes A+

Fitch Ratings said it assigned an A+ rating to Intel Corp.'s $2.25 billion of senior notes issuance, consisting of $750 million of 2.45% senior notes due Nov. 15, 2029, $500 million of 3.25% senior notes due Nov. 15, 2049 and $1 billion of 3.1% senior notes due Feb. 15, 2060.

The senior notes are pari passu with Intel's other senior unsecured debt obligations. The company will use the proceeds for general corporate purposes, which may include refinancing debt and share repurchases. Pro forma for the $2.25 billion notes issuance and undrawn commercial paper authorization, total debt was $41.3 billion as of Dec. 28.
