Insys parties to participate in mediation of claims estimation issues

By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, Aug. 5 – A mediator has been appointed for Insys Therapeutics, Inc.’s Chapter 11 case in an effort to resolve disputes related to claims estimation and a motion for a preliminary injunction, according to an order filed Monday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

Kevin J. Carey has been appointed as mediator. The mediation will be non-binding on the participating parties.

Mediation will be held from Aug. 6 through Aug. 20.

The order said the mediation may also cover the formulation and implementation of a Chapter 11 plan for Insys’ bankruptcy cases.

The specialty pharmaceutical company is based in Phoenix. The company filed bankruptcy on June 10 under Chapter 11 case number 19-11292.
