S&P: American Municipal Power-Ohio unaffected

Standard & Poor's said that its listing of MBIA Insurance Corp. for negative watch will not affect the AA- rating or stable outlook on American Municipal Power-Ohio Inc.'s $307.7 million of electric purchase revenue bonds, series 2007A.

MBIA is the debt service reserve and working-capital surety bond provider.

The rating is tied to the rating on American Municipal Power-Ohio's electricity supplier, J. Aron & Co., which is not rated. Goldman Sachs Group Inc., which has ratings of AA-/A-1+ with stable outlook, guarantees J. Aron's obligations.
