S&P: Innovation Ventures to stable

Standard & Poor's said it revised its outlook on Innovation Ventures LLC to stable from negative and affirmed all of its ratings on the company, including the B- corporate credit and senior secured note ratings.

Total debt outstanding as of Dec. 31, was about $391 million.

"The outlook revision to stable from negative reflects our view that Innovation's profitability should stabilize in 2014 as sales declines subside and advertising expenditures are sustained at lower levels," S&P credit analyst Gerald Phelan said in a news release.

"This also incorporates our assumption that unfavorable regulatory actions, criticism from health care professionals, and negative media reports surrounding the use of 5-hour Energy do not surface over the next year."
