Moody's assigns Baa1 to ING Groep notes

Moody's said it assigned a prospective Baa1 foreign currency rating to ING Groep NV's (Baa1 stable) shelf program for U.S. dollar-denominated senior unsecured debt to be issued, and a Baa1 rating to the first senior unsecured tranches issued under the program, for a total amount of $4 billion.

The rating agency also assigned prospective Baa2 and Baa3 ratings for, respectively, subordinated and junior subordinated debt to be issued under the program.

ING Groep is the holding company of ING Bank NV (A1/A1 positive, baa1).
