Benchmark Capital buys 2.57 million shares of Infinera

Charlotte, N.C., Feb. 13 - Investors led by Benchmark Capital Partners IV, LP bought 2,572,907 shares of Infinera Corp. between Nov. 18 and Feb. 10 at prices from $7.05 to $8.56 each, according to a schedule 13D filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Benchmark and its affiliates beneficially own 5,230,670 shares, or 5.6%, of the Sunnyvale, Calif.-based company's outstanding stock.

Infinera offers DTN System, a digital optical communications system, in the United States.
