By Devika Patel

Knoxville, Tenn., Jan. 18 - CV Starr may sell its stake in American International Group, Inc., according to a Friday schedule 13D filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

CV Starr has retained Perella Weinberg Partners LP as its exclusive financial adviser to assess the company's holdings but said in the filing that it doesn't plan to sell its AIG common shares except as needed for liquidity or investments.

New York-based AIG is a holding company which, through its subsidiaries, is engaged in a range of insurance and insurance-related activities.
