Moody's rates ICBCA notes A2

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned an A2 rating to the U.S.-dollar guaranteed notes issue of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (Asia) due 2009.

The outlook is stable.

Moody's said the A2 rating incorporates ICBC (Asia)'s sound financial profile, its developing franchise in Hong Kong and the mainland and the strong support it receives from its majority parent Industrial and Commercial Bank of China.

ICBC (Asia)'s long-term/short-term deposit ratings are A2/Prime-1, while its bank financial strength rating is D.
