S&P lifts PT Indosat

Standard & Poor's said it raised its long-term corporate credit rating on PT Indosat Tbk. to BB+ from BB. The outlook is stable.

The agency said it also raised the issue rating on the company's guaranteed senior unsecured notes to BB+ from BB. At the same time, the agency said it raised the long-term ASEAN regional scale rating on Indosat to axBBB+ from axBBB-.

The agency said it also removed all the ratings from CreditWatch, where they had been placed with positive implications on Feb. 10.

"We raised the rating because we expect Indosat to maintain its improved financial performance over the next two to three years," said S&P credit analyst Mehul Sukkawala in a news release.

"We also believe the company is likely to maintain adequate liquidity, as our criteria define the term, over the next 24 months," Sukkawala said.
