Fitch: Indonesia to positive

Fitch Ratings said it revised Indonesia's outlook to positive from stable.

The agency also affirmed its long-term foreign- and local-currency issuer default rating at BB+, short-term foreign-currency issuer default rating at B and country ceiling at BBB-.

The positive outlook reflects a view that Indonesia's favorable macroeconomic prospects are likely to see the credit profile strengthen further over the next 12 to 18 months, despite near-term risks from inflation and potentially volatile capital flows, Fitch said.

Faster progress in tackling long-standing weaknesses in economic and credit fundamentals would further support the case for an upgrade, the agency said.
