Moody’s gives Baa2 to Indonesia notes

Moody’s Investors Service said it gave Baa2 ratings to Indonesia’s planned senior unsecured yen-denominated bonds to be sold in six tranches with maturities ranging from three to 20 years. The notes will be issued under the government’s ¥600 billion samurai shelf program.

“The ratings mirror the government of Indonesia's long-term issuer rating of Baa2 with a stable outlook,” Moody’s said in a press release.

The proceeds will used to finance projects that qualify as "eligible expenditures" towards meeting Indonesia's World Bank sustainable development goals.
