Moody's gives Baa2 to Indonesia bonds
Moody's Investors Service said it gave Baa2 ratings to the senior unsecured U.S. dollar and euro notes issued by the government of Indonesia. The issuances have maturities of up to 30 years.
“The rating mirrors the government of Indonesia's long-term issuer rating of Baa2 with a stable outlook,” Moody’s said in a press release.
The proceeds will be used to repurchase a portion of Indonesia’s outstanding dollar bonds pursuant to a tender offer. Proceeds are also intended for general budgetary purposes.
