American Greetings announces $200 million 10-year notes

St. Louis, April 6 - American Greetings Corp. announced in a Thursday press release that it plans to make a $200 million offering of 10-year senior unsecured notes within the next two months.

Proceeds will be used to fund the tender for the company's 6.1% senior notes, which are putable in August 2008. Proceeds will also be used for other financing activities and for general corporate purposes.

American Greetings is a Cleveland-based manufacturer of social expression products.
