Incapital Unit Trust registers Goldman Sachs Balance Sheet units

By Toni Weeks

San Diego, March 19 - Incapital Unit Trust, Series 3 has registered units of its Goldman Sachs Balance Sheet Strength Portfolio, Series 2Q 2012, according to an S-6 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The depositor is Chicago-based Incapital LLC.

The trust will seek to provide capital appreciation by investing in equity securities of companies with strong balance sheets. The portfolio will replicate the Goldman Sachs Strong Balance Sheet Basket as of July 22, 2011, which identifies the 50 companies with the highest scores after applying a Goldman Sachs-developed quantitative model, a modified version of the Altman Z-score formula, to score the stocks once companies with a high short interest percentage are eliminated. The stocks represent eight of the 10 sectors of the S&P 500 index.

The $10 units will each carry a maximum sales charge of 2.95%, consisting of a 1% initial sales charge, a 1.45% deferred sales charge and a 0.5% creation and development fee. The fee may be reduced on a sliding scale to 1.4% based on the amount of investment.
