IBM's tender offer for ILOG ends; preliminary results announced

Charlotte, N.C., Dec. 1 - International Business Machines Corp. said 19,664,945 ordinary shares, including ordinary shares represented by American Depositary Shares, were tendered in its offer for ILOG SA that ended Nov. 24.
In addition, 32,000 warrants (No. 1) issued by ILOG in 2003, 16,000 warrants (No. 2) issued in 2003, 46,000 warrants issued in 2004, 48,000 warrants issued in 2005, 64,000 warrants issued in 2006 and 48,000 warrants issued in 2007 were tendered, an IBM news release said.
IBM said the results from the French Autorité des marchés financiers are provisional.
The 19,664,945 ordinary shares represent 95.37% of the voting rights and share capital of ILOG. The tendered securities represent 87.26% of the voting rights and share capital of ILOG.
Final results as well as a timetable for a subsequent offering period will be announced.
In July, IBM announced it would acquire ILOG, a Paris software company, for €215 million, or about $340 million, on a fully diluted basis.
IBM, based in Armonk, N.Y., develops computer systems, software, storage systems and microelectronics.
