Regional Transportation Authority of Illinois to price $140 million G.O. working cash notes

New York, July 1 - The Regional Transportation Authority of Illinois, serving Cook, DuPage, Kane, Lake, McHenry and Will counties, is expected to price $140 million in series 2010C general obligation working cash notes, according to a preliminary official statement.

The notes (Aa3/AA/AA-) will be sold on a negotiated basis with Bank of America Merrill Lynch as the senior manager. The co-managers are Loop Capital Markets LLC and Cabrera Capital Markets LLC.

The notes are due July 1, 2012.

Proceeds will be used to meet cash flow deficits.

Based in Chicago, the authority oversees the Chicago Transit Authority bus and rail system, the Metro commuter rail and the Pace suburban bus service.
