Illinois Finance defeases $397.91 million of 2008B University of Chicago bonds

Norfolk, Va., Aug. 12 – The Illinois Finance Authority defeased $397,905,000 of its series 2008B revenue bonds issued for the University of Chicago, according to a notice.
The following will be partially redeemed at par plus accrued interest at maturity:
• $2.25 million of 5% bonds due July 1, 2015;
• $2,365,000 of 5% bonds due July 1, 2016; and
• $2,485,000 of 5% bonds due July 1, 2017.
The following will be redeemed in full at par plus accrued interest on July 1, 2018:
• $52.35 million of 5.5% bonds due July 1, 2019;
• $49.41 million of 5.5% bonds due July 1, 2021;
• $11.75 million of 5.25% bonds due July 1, 2022;
• $22,985,000 of 5.25% bonds due July 1, 2023;
• $32.21 million of 5.5% bonds due July 1, 2028;
• $48.15 million of 5.75% bonds due July 1, 2033;
• $78.75 million of 5.5% bonds due July 1, 2037; and
• $95.2 million of 6.25% bonds due July 1, 2038.
