DBRS rates American Express notes A (high)

DBRS said it assigned a rating of A (high) to the $1.85 billion 3.7% senior notes due August 2023 and the $500 million floating-rate senior notes due August 2023 issued by American Express Co.

The trend on the notes is stable.

The proceeds from the notes will be included in the general funds of Amex and available for general corporate purposes.
