American Express to offer single tranche of fixed-rate notes

Chicago, Oct. 31 – American Express Co. is offering fixed-rate notes, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Near the maturity date, the notes will have a par call.

Citigroup Global Markets Inc., Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC and Mizuho Securities USA LLC are listed as joint bookrunners.

Bank of New York Mellon is the trustee.

The company is using in-house counsel. The bookrunners are using Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP for legal matters.

Proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes.

American Express is a New York-based credit card company.
