Idearc trustee appointment, equity committee motions denied

By Alice Popovici

New York, Aug. 28 - Idearc Inc. equityholders Sarbajit and Projna Paromita Mitra were denied motions filed to appoint a trustee and an official committee of equity holders for the company's bankruptcy case, according to documents filed Friday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas.

The Mitras had said in the July 6 motions that Idearc's equityholders are unrepresented in the company's bankruptcy case.

The motions were denied because the Mitras did not file a certificate of no objection, request a hearing or submit a proposed order within 45 days of the filing date, according to the court documents. The shareholders will be permitted to refile the motions.

Idearc, a Dallas-based provider of yellow and white page directories and related advertising products, filed for bankruptcy on March 31. Its Chapter 11 case number is 09-31828.
