New Issue: India’s Icici Bank sells Rs. 4.75 billion 8.55% perpetual tier 1 bonds

Morgantown, W.Va., Oct. 4 – Icici Bank Ltd. issued Rs. 4.75 billion of 8.55% subordinated perpetual additional tier 1 bonds on Wednesday.

The Basel III-compliant notes were issued at par on a private placement basis, according to a 6-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The bonds will be listed in the wholesale debt market segment of BSE Ltd. or National Stock Exchange of India Ltd.

Icici Bank is based in Mumbai.
